Spring weather always gives me the itch to change something in our house. The girls bedroom needed a facelift and when I saw these beautiful prints from @loomwell I had to try them. I can’t wait to see which one we decide on🕊️

Every spring, I get the urge to change something in my house. When I saw these beautiful options @loomwell I knew I had to try them out. I’m so excited to see what one fits best in our space🕊️🌷🤍

I’m ready for spring/summer and all the memories to be made☀️🪺🌷🌈🍓

My quilt collection is so special to me. 🤍🧺

My quilt collection is so special to me. 🤍🧺

I imagine the stories these quilts have in every fiber and I wish I knew what they’ve been through…the history.

-Some of these quilts are gifted, and those are honestly some of my most treasured gifts.
-The yellow quilt topper was FREE at an estate sale and I still can’t believe I scored that. I’m planning on using it to make clothes for my girls.
-the blue, double wedding ring quilt was my great-grandmother’s. It’s over 100 years old. I love it so much, tatters and all. I wore it over my shoulders on our wedding day when it cooled down, and I always look back on those pictures and smile.

I’m hoping to add to my collection this summer. 🫶🏼

🕊️Create a place of enjoyment. Someday, your

🕊️Create a place of enjoyment.
Someday, your children will go out into the world and see a lot of things. They will need a haven to come back to—a place of safety, peace, and rest.

🕊️Be gracious.
To yourself and your children. Your babies will eventually grow out of the phase they’re in, and you’ll soon forget what it feels like to be in the “busy” cycle you’re currently in. As mothers, it’s easy to have all these ideals of how we think our lives and families need to look. But I have to remind myself that I need to be present with my children and not worry about having it all together. Sally Clarkson says it best: “Put your worries in the file drawer of heaven.” I love that.

🕊️Cultivate joy.
This is a habit I’m working on. It’s easy to let the busyness or stress of the day rule my emotions. I have to intentionally remind myself to look for the beauty in the mundane and trust that God is working all things together for good.

🕊️Lay down unrealistic expectations.
Having a child with a big personality somehow makes me feel like they need to act a certain way. But in reality, you can’t expect a toddler to act like an adult. Giving them grace when mistakes are made creates a place of comfort and trust—and that’s the kind of home I want to cultivate.

🕊️Laugh more.
This one is pretty self-explanatory, but I have found that after having children, I take myself (way) too seriously. It’s probably the result of hormones and the unknowns of parenting. I’ve noticed that my children pick up on my attitude… so I want to make it a good one.

God is so kind, and He’s teaching me so many things in this season of life, especially in motherhood. It’s a beautiful season, and I know that one day I’ll look back on it and wish I could go back in time.💌
